The James Pearson Duffy Department of Art and Art History, Wayne State University, is pleased to present GENESIS: 2023 WSU UNDERGRADUATE EXHIBITION, April 20 through May 5, 2023. The opening reception will be held Thursday, April 20, 6-9PM, with a sound performance by Bccording and Cottonmask at 7PM.
GENESIS celebrates student achievements from the 2022-2023 academic school year. Optimistic concepts within their works include an array of mediums and techniques that reflect multi-disciplinary studio practices. With a futuristic flair, the exhibition embraces research of contemporary art, art history, and design.
GENESIS has been organized by the following students from the department’s Gallery Management Course: Angela Athnasios, Carrigan Drallos, Clove Ellis, Jackson Gifford, Ava Guerrero, and Lilly Peters – along with Gallery Learning Community (GLC) Peer Mentor, Evan Condron.
